Sunday Community Meal
Every Sunday afternoon we serve a weekly meal at Saints Peter & Paul Community Center in SouthWest Detroit.
We welcome volunteers, neighbors, and parish groups to come and serve every week!

1:00 PM Volunteers arrive
2:00 PM Full hot lunch served
2:40 PM Pantry brings out food and clothes
3:00 PM Pantry closes
3:30 PM Clean up by hosting group should be finished

FAQ
Q: What should the volunteer group bring?
A: The food and beverages and whatever comes in. ODO will provide everything else.
Q: Should we bring bottled water?
A: Donations of bottled water are appreicated, but we will usually have bottled water on hand if need be.
Q: How many guests should we be prepared to serve?
A: Approximately 35-40
Q: Where should we park?
A: You may use the parking lot off Gilber St just north of the church/Mission Center.
Q: How many volunteers should we bring?
A: 6-7 volunteers should be sufficient for the amount of work to be done.
Q: What can volunteers be expected to do?
A: Food prep and service, greeting guests, dining room setup and clean-up, kitchen clean-up, dishwashing etc.
Q: I'm signed up, what can I expect next?
A: You will receive an email with details regarding expected arrival time and who to contact once you arrive at Ss Peter and Paul Mission Center.
Q: When should we plan to arrive to serve the meal?
A: Please plan to arrive at the Ss Peter and Paul Mission Center at 1PM
Q: Do you have a kitchen to prepare food in advance? Is there anything we should know about using the kitchen?
A: The kitchen is available for food preparation as needed, tips on its use and requirements will be shared via email upon group registration.
