Q: How can I make a cash donation to Orthodox Detroit Outreach (ODO)?
A: We can accept donations through Venmo here or using the button above. We are a non-profit organization, therefore these donations are tax exempt.
 
Q: How does ODO use cash donations?
A: As a non-profit organization, cash donations help ODO is several ways including:
  1. Dining and Kitchen supplies (napkins, carry-out containers, food, gloves, coffee, cups, etc)
  2. Annual neighborhood festival + other public events
  3. Rental fees

Q: What is the current top 3 list of ODO donation needs?
A: As of Summer 2025, our priority needs are:
  • Oatmeal packets
  • Boxed Macaroni & Cheese
  • Crackers
 
Q: What types of food donations do you accept?
A: Shelf-stable foods that are not expired, including shelf stable baby formula.  We also accept new toiletry items (e.g. hygiene kits).
We CANNOT accept expired shelf stable baby formula.

 

Clothing   Donations  

 

Q: What is the current top 5 list of ODO clothing needs:
A: As of Summer 2025, our priority needs are:
  1. Hoodies - men's & womens - all sizes
  2. New men's & women's socks - all sizes
  3. New men's & women's underwear - all sizes
  4. Men's pants and belts (sizes 32-34)
  5. Mens's & women's jogging/athletic/workout pants - all sizes
Q: What types of clothing items do you accept?
A: Yes, the following items are accepted:
  1. New and lightly used clothing (except underwear and socks must be new!)
  2. Diapers
Q: Are there any clothing items you do NOT accept?
A: Yes, the following items are NOT accepted:
  1. Clothing with excessive wear
  2. Clothing with stains, holes, rips, tears
